We accidentally did not write our name and could not do so after realizing as you were not there and we had to hand it to Mr Marc Chong, and if we took it back from him, he would not wait, because lots of other people wanted to give it to him too. Therefore, we wanted to give you a short description of it so you can recognize our sculpture.

It is an angel spray painted golden, with a container full of straw hearts attached to the back. it has glitter everywhere on the whole body, and the head has no facial features(we thought it would look better like that, simple and plain.) It is in a big yellow recycling bag.

With these descriptions, we are sure you can find our angel quite easily. Sorry again for any inconveniences caused.

Short Descriptions for Our Sculpture

We build an angel sculpture to encapsulate our theme ‘Love for Sister’. At the end of the story, Caddy helped Saffy to put her angel back as one piece and this shows the great bond between the two sisters. The angel therefore would be the main/first idea we had in mind. We made use of paper-mâché, which is a construction material that consists of pieces of paper, stuck together using a wet paste, to build our sculpture. This method allows the resulting material to be cut, and painted, and waterproofed by painting with a suitable water repelling paint once it turns dry. Therefore, enable us to complete our sculpture within a week.
She feels that the angel is important to Saffron, therefore she bothered to overcome her fear and drive all the way to the dilapidated house where their grandfather used to live in to check whether the angel is there. Also, she spent a lot of effort as she went all the way there despite the fact that she did not know truly if the angel was present. After retrieving it, she brought it all the way back to fix it spending weeks to put the sculpture back together for Saffron hoping that the angel would help Saffron. Therefore, Caddy thinks that the angel is important, otherwise she would not bother wasting so much time and effort or risking her 'life' to drive there to get the angel back to the banana house.
The angel is made by paper-mâché where newspaper is being used. This means that we are using recycled materials to do it. The glue is made up of flour and water, and does not pollute the environment. Caddy, an aspiring zoologist would not want the environment to be polluted. Thus, we used this method to build our sculpture. We then spray-painted our sculpture gold like mentioned in the book, and the paint is CFC free. Not only that, we added in the straw hearts in a ‘basket’ that represented Caddy’s love for her sister. The usage of multi colours straw meant Caddy’s love for Saffy in every way, which she did.
We feel that this sculpture is appropriate in describing Caddy. Firstly, in the story, Caddy helped to fix her adopted sister, Saffy’s angel back. Also, to make it represent Caddy, we sprayed the angel gold in colour as in the story, Caddy helped Saffy’s to spray it into gold colour after fixing it for her. Not only that, Caddy showed love for her sister by fixing the angel for her, this in turn encapsulated our theme ‘Love for Sister’. Even though they are not real sisters, their relationship is still very close.

Mrs Boy, we did not put up any pictures for the sculptures because we left in school accidentally. We will hand it in to you during our break on Monday(maths paper). We are very sorry for any inconveniences caused.

Short description of the photo collage
We are using the character Cadmium, in the book Saffy's Angel to do this photo collage. We feel that all the photos are highly appropriate, and quite self-explainatory. We choose to print out the hamster photos biggest, as we think that the most/second most important thing to Caddy was her hamsters and guinea pigs. Also, we took a picture of somebody, trying to paint the hamster feets, as mentioned in the earlier part of the book. Also, 'generations of hamsters came and went' so therefore, we found a box, around the house and used it as a coffin as for the hamster.(there was no dead hamsters) There was also a pile of books, and a maths note pasted on the window, for when she had to study for her GCE exams. Also, there were two signs which we only used , as they are connected to Caddy. We used 'WE ARE GOING TO WALES' as it was Caddy who drove them there. We also used 'SHE HATES TURNING RIGHT' because this told us about her, and therefore represented Caddy in some way. There is a picture of clouds and sunlight on a patch of grass. This picture was put in because we have disscussed what Caddy's personality is like, and we think that Caddy is like the photos, warm and cheery and fresh(this means that she is original)(for the grass picture)and very carefree(cloud picture). There are 2 pictures of car related itams, the sign and the car. This is because the focus on Caddy in the later part of the book focused more on caddy and her driving lessons and not so much about the hamsters anymore. The sign was put into the photo collage because, she usually does not pay attention, and ends up going the wrong way on a one way road. We would not be very suprised if the book included a scene where Caddy is fined for parking in a parking space for fire engines.

Individual work: (poem)

A mum who cares,
A mum who shares.

A mum whom I am proud to claim,
A mum that's around me everyday.

She has the smiles of sunshine,
A heart of pure gold.

Her sacrifices for me selflessly,
Acts like a dearly angel to me.

Surely, a kiss for me,
Serves like a bliss to me.

Your patience for me,
Reflects your love towards me.

I deeply appreciate everything,
And I will never forget anything.

So I will always try to help you,
As a form of saying thank you.

Description: The two graceful swans represent me and my mother. She stays behind me all the time giving me countless support so as to ensure my safety. Also, my mother resembles an angel, therefore above her, I drew a loop of ring. Moreover, her actions are really selfless.Furthermore, her contributions and sacrifice made are really incredible. Her patience towards me really touched me deeply. Although, i am moving slowly, she is willing to accompany me. Soon, the sun in the background is touched to tears upon witnessing such a touching and rare scene. Lastly, I love my mother.
